Fire.Couric.Now


CBS EVENING NEWS DOWN OVER YEAR AGO... For the first time since Katie Couric became anchor, CBS EVENING NEWS is down compared to a year ago, falling 4% from 8.069 to 7.758 million last week among total viewers, and the program also declined 9% among adults 25-54 from last year's 2.2 to a 2.0 rating last week... Developing...

A. I don't know who that hottie pic is but it ain't Couric.
B. In all fairness, CBS needs to be patient and give her some time to settle in. If it were me, I'd give her a solid year.
THEN if she hasn't built an audience, banish her to the Early Show.
Network news is on its way out anyway. They can't compete with cable news without changing their format.

There's a reason Katie's in last place. She's in last place because she's not very good. She's out of her element. She's stiff and wooden. She can't seem to relate to the people she's talking to. She can only...read to them.

Put her on a couch instead of behind a desk and give her an Ed McMahon-like sidekick (NOT a co-anchor! Heaven forbid!),and she'll loosen up.
